The music program at London Christian High is a dynamic place for students to cultivate musical skills and use the gift of music to glorify God and bless our community.
Our program consists of several extra-curricular options for both singers and instrumentalists.
Throughout the year, our bands and choirs participate in a number of events including the annual Christmas Concert and our Celebrations of Learning. Our program consists of several extra-curricular options for both singers and instrumentalists.
The concert choir is at the heart of the music program at London Christian High, and is comprised of students from various grade levels and musical backgrounds, as well as a few staff members. Each year, this group of 30-40 singers performs at various festivals and church services in London and its surrounding area. They also enjoy the opportunity to connect with other Christian high schools through the annual Ontario Christian High School Choral Festival. In addition, the 2017 concert choir had the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds of New York City together, and in 2018 they experienced the Toronto Mass Choir at a gospel music workshop at York University!
The concert band rehearses once a week throughout the school year and performs at our annual school concerts. Students with prior instrumental experience are encouraged to join this ensemble which explores music from a variety of genres.
Our praise team collaborates with our school’s assembly committee to organize music and lead worship for our chapels, special assemblies, and concerts. Students of all grades and levels of vocal and instrumental musical experience are welcome to join and cultivate their musical and leadership skills through this ensemble.
