We Are London Christian High
We are a small, not-for-profit, private Christian high school in London, Ontario with a rich history of quality and student-centered education. Our school is accredited by the Ministry of Education and offers an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. With our 6:1 student-staff ratio, our central goal is to help each student develop a deeper sense of who they are while simultaneously pointing them towards God’s purpose in their life. Through a wide range of authentic learning experiences and a rigorous academic program, our students are prepared to head off to any post-secondary program or challenge that God is calling them to after high school.
We look forward to taking this journey with you!
London Christian High – Where every student is seen, known, and loved.
Our Mission
Supported by a Christian community, London Christian High provides high school students with quality Christian education through a variety of academic and extracurricular programs.
Our Vision
At London Christian High, we believe each student has been created on purpose and for a purpose. Our learning program is designed with two key thoughts in mind:
-
People – We believe that each person has been created uniquely and should be celebrated and developed starting with their God-given interests, talents, and natural gifting.
-
Purpose – We also believe that our God-given gifts are to be used for a purpose, namely, to serve Christ and others as we seek to make our world a better place.
Our History
London Christian High opened its doors at 243 Tremont Road in September 1965 by a committed group of people who believed strongly that their Christian faith must be expressed in all areas of life, including education. In our first year we had 27 students enroled in grades 9 and 10 and three teachers. In 1971, after steadily increasing student enrolment, the school was moved to its present site, a five acre lot at 24 Braesyde Ave.
The original school building had one hallway with six classrooms and, in the 49 years that have passed, we’ve grown and expanded through many internal renovations and five additions. Each renovation and addition has served to develop and augment our Program of Learning for our students. Our school building is well equipped with the latest in technology and equipment – from our laser cutter, to teaching kitchen, to science lab, to fully equipped construction technology shop, to art studio, to language classrooms – each space was designed to optimize each students’ success in learning. London Christian High follows the Ministry of Education curriculum and is inspected every two years. As a result of successful inspections, students receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma upon graduation.

Since its beginning, London Christian High has been a parent-directed school. The Board of Directors is comprised of alumni, community members, and parents of current, former and future students, whose common commitment is to offer a high quality Christian education. The Board, elected by the London Christian High membership, provides governance oversight to the daily operation of the school. As an independent Christian school, London Christian High does not receive government funding, operational funds are generated from tuition fees, donations, and fundraising.
We continue to be grateful for the faithfulness and commitment of our founders, for taking the risk of establishing a school more than 50 years ago. We are also grateful to God for His ongoing faithful care for our students and school!
“The teachers definitely built up a lot of confidence. Instead of seeing you just as another student, they see you as who you are and they actually want to help you grow with where you’re at.”
“I’ve heard it in church what is was to be a child of God, but I realized it here.”
“My biggest hope is for students to recognize they are part of a bigger picture, and that they have something to contribute.”
