While London Christian High is located in the city of London, Ontario, we have students who travel to school each day by school bus from a large geographic area. London Christian High currently has bus routes servicing communities such as Sarnia, Strathroy, Mt. Brydges, Blyth, Clinton, Exeter, Stratford, St. Mary’s, Woodstock, Ingersoll, Dorchester, London, Aylmer, St. Thomas, and many points in between. When planning our school bus routes, our guiding principles include safety, efficiency, minimizing route times and length and balanced service. As much as possible, our bus routes are centralized to meet these goals. Each year, for students accessing school bus services, bus stop locations and times are send out mid-August to families for the beginning of the school year. For further information, or if your family is moving, please contact Vicki Vandenbrink, Office Administrator, at vvandenbrink@lchonline.ca or 519-455-4360.

Bus Expectations

Riding a LCH school bus is a privilege rather than a right. We expect our students to respect the bus driver and other students and follow the behaviour guidelines of the school during their bus ride. Some behaviours may result in a student losing their transportation privileges for a period of time; such behaviours include: throwing things around inside the bus and/or outside of the bus, failing to work with the bus driver toward the general safety of the bus, failing to remain seated when required, destroying property, making others on the bus feel unsafe and/or generally disregarding the expectations of a London Christian High student as detailed in this guide.

Bus Notes

Some of our buses are at ridership capacity with very limited space for additional students to catch a ride for social purposes. Please be sure to ask in advance if there is room on the bus for your student to bring a friend/ride with a friend. In most cases we should be able to accommodate however, not every bus has room for additional riders. Same day requests may be declined. It is important for parents to request bus permission notes at least one to two days in advance.  Please send bus note requests to the office, office@lchonline.ca.
